Judah is like a lion.
My son, you are like a lion
standing over the animal it killed.
Judah is like a lion.
He lies down to rest,
and no one is brave enough
to disturb him.
There were six steps leading up to the throne. The back of the throne was round at the top. There were armrests on both sides of the chair. And in the sides of the chair under the two armrests there were pictures of lions.
All of Solomon’s cups and glasses were made of gold. And all of the dishes [138] in the building called the “Forest of Lebanon” were made from pure gold. Nothing in the palace was made from silver. {There was so much gold that} in Solomon’s time people did not think silver was important!
The people are as strong as a lion.
They fight like a lion.
And that lion will not rest,
until he has eaten his enemy.
And that lion will not rest,
until he drinks the blood
of the people who are against him.”
“Israel is like a lion,
curled up and lying down.
Yes, they are like a young lion,
and no one wants to wake him!
Any person who blesses you
will be blessed.
And any person who speaks against you
will have great troubles.”
But one of the elders {\cf2\super [38]} said to me, “Don’t cry! The Lion (Christ) from Judah’s family group has won the victory. He is David’s {\cf2\super [39]} descendant. {\cf2\super [40]} He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
