And thou shalt be founded in justice. Depart far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear: and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.

Iniquity shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction in thy borders: and salvation shall possess thy walls, and praise thy gates.

ARISE, arise, put on thy strength, O Sion, put on the garments of thy glory, O Jerusalem, the city of the Holy One: for henceforth the uncircumcised and unclean shall no more pass through thee.

And they shall come and shall give praise in mount Sion: and they shall flow together to the good things of the Lord, for the corn and wine and oil and the increase of cattle and herds. And their soul shall be as a watered garden: and they shall be hungry no more.

And I will hide my face no more from them, for I have poured out my spirit upon all the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

For you shall not go out in a tumult: neither shall you make haste by flight. For the Lord will go before you: and the God of Israel will gather you together.

As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts protect Jerusalem, protecting and delivering, passing over and saving.

For there is no regard to their death, nor is there strength in their stripes.

For without cause they have hidden their net for me unto destruction: without cause they have upbraided my soul.

Perhaps the Lord may look upon my affliction, and the Lord may render me good for the cursing of this day.

For the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have seen their affliction, wherewith they are oppressed by the Egyptians.

And there came down fire from God out of heaven, and devoured them; and the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and brimstone, where both the beast

Seeing I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, and I will send thee into Egypt.

And people shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more an anathema: but Jerusalem shall sit secure.

In that day shall the Lord protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and he that hath offended among them in that day shall be as David: and the house of David, as that of God, as an angel of the Lord in their sight.

The word that the Lord spoke to Jeremias the prophet, how Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon should come and strike the land of Egypt:

Against Egypt, against the army of Pharao Nechao king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Charcamis, whom Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon defeated, in the fourth year of Joakim the son of Josias king of Juda.

IN that day shall this canticle be sung the land of Juda. Sion, the city of our strength: a Saviour, a wall and a bulwark shall be set therein.

And the Lord will create, upon every place of mount Sion and where he is called upon, a cloud by day, and a smoke and the brightness of a flaming fire in the night: for over all the glory shall be a protection.

In his days Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came up, and Joakim became his servant three years. Then again he rebelled against him.

In his days Pharao Nechao king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates. And king Josias went to meet him: and was slain at Mageddo, when he had seen him.

And the Lord said to him: I have seen the affliction of my people in Egypt, and I have heard their cry; because of the rigour of them that are over the works.

And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: and even he shall be left to our God, and he shall be as a governor in Juda, and Accaron as a Jebusite.

And I will protect this city, and will save it for my own sake, and for David my servant's sake.

Be not afraid of sudden fear, nor of the power of the wicked falling upon thee.

In that day, saith the Lord, I will strike every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open my eyes upon the house of Juda, and will strike every horse of the nations with blindness.
