I know, and am confident in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

Destroy not the work of God for meat. All things indeed are clean: but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

Haughtiness of the eyes is the enlarging of the heart: the lamp of the wicked is sin.

If a man carry sanctified flesh in the skirt of his garment, and touch with his skirt, bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat: shall it be sanctified? And the priests answered, and said: No.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?

A generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet are not washed from their filthiness.

Looking diligently, lest any man be wanting to the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up do hinder, and by it many be defiled.
