If a man have two wives, one beloved, and the other hated, and they have had children by him, and the son of the hated be the firstborn:

And again she conceived and bore a son, and said: Because the Lord heard that I was despised, he hath given this also to me. And she called his name Simeon.

And the Lord seeing that he despised Lia, opened her womb, but her sister remained barren.

Itself remaineth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, keepeth it unto life eternal.
