And the great city was divided into three parts; and the cities of the Gentiles fell. And great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the indignation of his wrath.

For the time is, that judgment should begin at the house of God. And if first at us, what shall be the end of them that believe not the gospel of God?

What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath, fitted for destruction,

But thanks be to God, that you were the servants of sin, but have obeyed from the heart, unto that form of doctrine, into which you have been delivered.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of those men that detain the truth of God in injustice:

Who can stand before the face of his indignation? and who shall resist in the fierceness of his anger? his indignation is poured out like fire: and the rocks are melted by him.

Who is there among you that feareth the Lord, that heareth the voice of his servant, that hath walked in darkness, and hath no light? Let him hope in the name of the Lord and lean upon his God.

For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways.

They have been rebellious to the light, they have not known his ways: neither have they returned by his paths.

In like manner also let wives be subject to their husbands: that if any believe not the word, they may be won without the word, by the conversation of the wives.

Then hear thou from heaven, and do justice to thy servants, so as to requite the wicked by making his wickedness fall upon his own head, and to revenge the just, rewarding him according to his justice.

The desire of the just is all good: the expectation of the wicked is indignation.

And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant and have not performed the words of the covenant which they agreed to in my presence, when they cut the calf in two and passed between the parts thereof:

And I poured out my indignation upon them: in the fire of my wrath I consumed them. I have rendered their way upon their own head, saith the Lord God.

For I fear lest perhaps when I come I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found by you such as you would not. Lest perhaps contentions, envyings, animosities, dissensions, detractions, whisperings, swellings, seditions, be among you.

Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects,

And some out of contention preach Christ not sincerely: supposing that they raise affliction to my bands.

Let nothing be done through contention, neither by vain glory: but in humility, let each esteem others better than themselves:

But if you have bitter zeal, and there be contentions in your hearts; glory not, and be not liars against the truth.

For where envying and contention is, there is inconstancy, and every evil work.
