For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; or whether we die, we die unto the Lord. Therefore, whether we live, or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

Because for the work of Christ he came to the point of death: delivering his life, that he might fulfil that which on your part was wanting towards my service.

For David, when he had served in his generation, according to the will of God, slept: and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption.

And this he said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had said this, he saith to him: Follow me.

For he is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live to him.
