And it was given unto them that they should not kill them; but that they should torment them five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion when he striketh a man.
That which the palmerworm hath left, the locust hath eaten: and that which the locust hath left, the bruchus hath eaten: and that which the bruchus hath left, the mildew hath destroyed.
And I will restore to you the ears which the locust, and the bruchus, and the mildew, and the palmerworm have eaten; my great host which I sent upon you.
And was thy leader in the great and terrible wilderness, wherein there was the serpent burning with his breath, and the scorpion and the dipsas, and no waters at all. Who brought forth streams out of the hardest rock:
But Madian and Amalec, and all the eastern people lay scattered in the valley, as a multitude of locusts. Their camels also were innumerable as the sand that lieth on the sea-shore.

And he spoke according to the advice of the young men: My father laid upon you a heavy yoke, which I will make heavier. My father beat you with scourges, but I will beat you with scorpions.
And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle: and on their heads were, as it were, crowns like gold: and their faces were as the faces of men.
