How long shall sinners, O Lord: how long shall sinners glory?
Light is risen to the just, and joy to the right of heart.
There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard.
And he said to me: The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and nations, and tongues.
For you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. The mountains and the hills shall sing praise before ye: and all the trees of the country shall clap their hands.
And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman, water as it were a river; that he might cause her to be carried away by the river.
And he said: I cried out of my affliction to the Lord, and he heard me: I cried out of the belly of hell, and thou hast heard my voice.
For the Lord is high, terrible: a great king over all the earth.
He hath subdued the people under us; and the nations under our feet.
