Rejoice not, thou, my enemy, over me, because I am fallen: I shall arise, when I sit in darkness, the Lord is my light.

That made the world a wilderness and destroyed the cities thereof, that opened not the prison to his prisoners?

God shall reign over the nations: God sitteth on his holy throne.

They were separated, and repented not: they tempted me, they scoffed at me with scorn: they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

O Lord our Lord, how admirable is thy name in the whole earth! For thy magnificence is elevated above the heavens.

If I have rendered to them that repaid me evils, let me deservedly fall empty before my enemies.

Let not the dead live, let not the giants rise again: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and best destroyed all their memory.
