And the mountains shall be melted under him: and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as waters that run down a steep place.

But my enemies live, and are stronger that I: and they hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

Therefore they shall be as a morning aloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the dust that is driven with a whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.

For wickedness is kindled as a fire. It shall devour the brier and the thorn, and shall kindle in the thicket of the forest: and it shall be wrapped up in smoke ascending on high.

Sing praise to the Lord on the harp, on the harp, and with the voice of a psalm:

The enemies of the Lord have lied to him: and their time shall be for ever.

They would melt as at the burning of fire, the waters would burn with fire: that thy name might be made known to thy enemies, that the nations might tremble at thy presence.

And I meditated in the night with my own heart: and I was exercised and I swept my spirit.

And when the ark was lifted up, Moses said: Arise, O Lord, and let thine enemies be scattered, and let them that hate thee flee from before thy face.

And Joab and the people that were with him began to fight against the Syrians: and they immediately fled before him.

And the Syrians fled before Israel. And David slew of the Syrians the men of seven hundred chariots, and forty thousand horsemen: and smote Sobach the captain of the army, who presently died.

At the voice of the angel the people fled: and at the lifting up thyself the nations are scattered.

Why are thy valiant men come to nothing? They stood not: because the Lord hath overthrown them.
