And not go aside to either part. Thou shalt not accept person nor gifts: for gifts blind the eyes of the wise, and change the words of the just.

If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor, that dwelleth with thee: thou shalt not be hard upon them as an extortioner, nor oppress them with usuries.

They have taken gifts in thee to shed blood: thou hast taken usury and increase and hast covetously oppressed thy neighbours: and then hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.

Hath not lent upon usury, nor taken any increase: hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity and hath executed true judgment between man and man:

If you know these things, you shall be blessed if you do them.

Men shall not be strengthened by wickedness: and the root of the just shall not be moved.

and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?

From the rising and the setting of the sun, from the north and from the sea.

From them that resist thy right hand keep me, as the apple of thy eye. Protect me under the shadow of thy wings.

And said to them: What will you give me, and I will deliver him unto you? But they appointed him thirty pieces of silver.

The evil of their hands they call good: the prince requireth, and the judge is for giving: and the great man hath uttered the desire of his soul, and they have troubled it.

And when the wicked turneth himself away from his wickedness, which he hath wrought, and doeth judgment and justice, he shall save his soul alive.

That hath turned away his hand from injuring the poor, hath not taken usury and increase: but hath executed my judgments and hath walked in my commandments: this man shall not die for the iniquity of his father, but living he shall live.

He that walketh in justices and speaketh truth, that casteth away avarice by oppression and shaketh his hands from all bribes, that stoppeth his ears lest he hear blood and shutteth his eyes that he may see no evil.

And my rage shall be enkindled, and I will strike you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

When thou hast made a vow to the Lord thy God, thou shalt not delay to pay it: because the Lord thy God will require it. And if thou delay, it shall be imputed to thee for a sin.

Speak of me before the Lord, and before his anointed, whether I have taken any man's ox, or ass: If I have wronged any man: If I have oppressed any man: If I have taken a bribe at any man's hand: and I will despise it this day, and will restore it to you.

The just shall never be moved: but the wicked shall not dwell on the earth.

He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house: but he that hateth bribes shall live. By mercy and faith sins are purged away: and by the fear of the Lord every one declineth from evil.
