But he said: Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God, and keep it.

That they may walk in my commandments and keep my judgments and do them: and that they may be my people and I may be their God.

But he that hath looked into the perfect law of liberty, and hath continued therein, not becoming a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work; this man shall be blessed in his deed.

A gradual canticle. Often have they fought against me from my youth, let Israel now say.

If you know these things, you shall be blessed if you do them.

And they were both just before God, walking in all the commandments and justifications of the Lord without blame.
