But I did otherwise for my name's sake, that it might not be violated before the nations, in the midst of whom they were, and among whom I made myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.

And therefore have I raised thee, that I may shew my power in thee: and my name may be spoken of throughout all the earth.

But I spared them for the sake of my name, lest it should be profaned before the nations from which I brought them out in their sight.

For the scripture saith to Pharao: To this purpose have I raised thee, that I may shew my power in thee, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

And you shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have done well by you for my own name's sake and not according to your evil ways nor according to your wicked deeds, O house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

But I turned away my hand and wrought for my name's sake, that it might not be violated before the nations out of which I brought them forth in their sight.

Give us not to be a reproach, for thy name's sake, and do not disgrace in us the throne of thy glory. Remember, break not thy covenant with us.

The Chanaanites, and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it, and being gathered together will surround us and cut off our name from the earth. And what wilt thou do to thy great name?

Thy right hand, O Lord, is magnified in strength: thy right hand, O Lord, hath slain the enemy.

If our iniquities have testified against us, O Lord, do thou it for thy name's sake, for our rebellions are many: we have sinned against thee.

Deliver me, And rescue me out of the hand of strange children; whose mouth hath spoken vanity: and their right hand is the right hand of iniquity:

because he shall not be moved for ever.

Moses told his kinsman all that the Lord had done to Pharao, and the Egyptians, in favour of Israel: and all the labour which had befallen them in the journey; and that the Lord had delivered them.

As he had done before in the Red Sea, which he dried up till we passed through.

And the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because the Lord hath sworn to make you his people.

Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord: or who shall stand in his holy place?

For my name's sake I will remove my wrath far off: and for my praise I will bridle thee, lest thou shouldst perish.
