In that day, I lifted up my hand for them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt, into a land which I had provided for them, flowing with milk and honey, which excelleth amongst all lands.
I will therefore admonish you, though ye once knew all things, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, did afterwards destroy them that believed not:
For unto us also it hath been declared, in like manner as unto them. But the word of hearing did not profit them, not being mixed with faith of those things they heard.
But I said: How shall I put thee among the children and give thee a lovely land, the goodly inheritance of the armies of the Gentiles? And I said: Thou shalt call me father and shalt cease to walk after me.
And when he sent you from Cadesbarne, saying: Go up, and possess the land that I have given you: and you slighted the commandment of the Lord your God, and did not believe him: neither would you hearken to his voice:
Be not rebellious against the Lord. And fear ye not the people of this land, for we are able to eat them up as bread. All aid is gone from them. The Lord is with us: fear ye not.
