Put me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thy arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy as hard as hell, the lamps thereof are fire and flames.

Anger hath no mercy, nor fury when it breaketh forth: and who can bear the violence of one provoked?

If the spirit of jealousy stir up the husband against his wife, who either is defiled, or is charged with false suspicion:

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he? All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient.
