Why art thou seduced, my son, by a strange woman, and art cherished in the bosom of another?

That she may keep thee from the woman that is not thine, and from the stranger who sweeteneth her words.

That they may keep thee from the evil woman, and from the flattering tongue of the stranger.

Thy eyes shall behold strange women, and thy heart shall utter perverse things.

The mouth of a strange woman is a deep pit: he whom the Lord is angry with, shall fall into it.

And king Solomon loved many strange women besides the daughter of Pharao. And women of Moab, and of Ammon, and of Edom, and of Sidon, and of the Hethites:

For the lips of a harlot are like a honeycomb dropping, and her throat is smoother than oil.

And you have said: For what cause? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee, and the wife of thy youth, whom thou hast despised: yet she was thy partner, and the wife of thy covenant.

When thou shalt hate her put her away, saith the Lord the God of Israel: but iniquity shall cover his garment, saith the Lord of hosts, keep your spirit, and despise not.
