He that keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that feedeth gluttons, shameth his father.

A man that loveth wisdom, rejoiceth his father: but he that maintaineth bar lots, shall squander away his substance.

And not many days after, the younger son, gathering all together, went abroad into a far country: and there wasted his substance, living riotously.

The rod and reproof give wisdom: but the child that is left to his own will bringeth his mother to shame.

He that stealeth any thing from his father, or from his mother: and saith, This is no sin, is the partner of a murderer.

He that afflicteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is infamous and unhappy.

But as soon as this thy son is come, who hath devoured his substance with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
