He that walketh uprightly, shall be saved: he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

He that walketh sincerely, walketh confidently: but he that perverteth his ways, shall be manifest.

Better is the poor man walking in his simplicity, than the rich in crooked ways.

Have in mind therefore in what manner thou hast received and heard: and observe, and do penance. If then thou shalt not watch, I will come to thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come to thee.

Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed.

And the angel said to him: Why beatest thou thy ass these three times? I am come to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse, and contrary to me.

For when they shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape.

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly unto the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all: If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of the Gentiles, and not as the Jews do, how dost thou compel the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

As a tempest that passeth, so the wicked shall be no more: but the just is as an everlasting foundation.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies.

The fear of the Lord shall prolong days: and the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Balaam arose in the morning, and saddling his ass went with them.

The angel said: Go with these men, and see thou speak no other thing than what I shall command thee. He went therefore with the princes.

He that deceiveth the just in a wicked way, shall fall in his own destruction: and the upright shall possess his goods.
