Thy own friend, and thy father's friend forsake not: and go not into thy brother's house in the day of thy affliction. Better is a neighbour that is near, than a brother afar off.

For all of my father's house were no better than worthy of death before my lord the king; and thou hast set me thy servant among the guests of thy table. What just complaint therefore have I? Or what right to cry any more to the king?

Thou shalt not pass by if thou seest thy brother's ox, or his sheep go astray: but thou shalt bring them back to thy brother.
