As it is not good for a man to eat much honey, so he that is a searcher of majesty, shall be overwhelmed by glory.
How can you believe, who receive glory one from another: and the glory which is from God alone, you do not seek?
Let another praise thee, and not thy own mouth: a stranger, and not thy own lips.
Let nothing be done through contention, neither by vain glory: but in humility, let each esteem others better than themselves:
I am become foolish: you have compelled me. For I ought to have been commended by you: for I have no way come short of them that are above measure apostles, although I be nothing.
If I must glory (it is not expedient indeed): but I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
Thou hast found honey, eat what is sufficient for thee, lest being glutted therewith thou vomit it up.
Because every one that exalteth himself, shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted.
It is the glory of God to conceal the word, and the glory of kings to search out the speech.
