The just considereth seriously the house of the wicked, that he may withdraw the wicked from evil.

The house of the wicked shall be destroyed: but the tabernacles of the just shall flourish.

But with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the desert.

I destroyed some of you, as God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrha, and you were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet you returned not to me, saith the Lord.

The wicked man shall be driven out in his wickedness: but the just hath hope in his death.

Now when God destroyed the cities of that country, remembering Abraham, he delivered Lot out of the destruction of the cities wherein he had dwelt.

When the wicked are multiplied, crimes shall be multiplied: but the just shall see their downfall.
