Let thy heart apply itself to instruction: and thy ears to words of knowledge.

He that hath a mind to depart from a friend seeketh occasions: he shall ever be subject to reproach.

In their hands they shall bear thee up: lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Incline your ear and come to me. Hear and your soul shall live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the faithful mercies of David.

And I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to understand the distraction that is upon earth: for there are some that day and night take no sleep with their eyes.

But he that is an adulterer, for the folly of his heart shall destroy his own soul:
