The thoughts of the industrious always bring forth abundance: but every sluggard is always in want.

And this I pray, that your charity may more and more abound in knowledge, and in all understanding:

Hast thou seen a man hasty to speak? folly is rather to be looked for, than his amendment.

For I bear them witness, that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

And these things will they do to you; because they have not known the Father, nor me.

A faithful man shall be much praised: but he that maketh haste to be rich, shall not be innocent.

And whereas Ecclesiastes was very wise, he taught the people, and declared the things that he had done: and seeking out, he set forth many parables.

Better is the end of a speech than the beginning. Better is the patient man than the presumptuous.

A man, that maketh haste to be rich, and envieth others, is ignorant that poverty shall come upon him.

The things which thy eyes have seen, utter not hastily in a quarrel: lest afterward thou mayst not be able to make amends, when thou hast dishonoured thy friend.

He that is patient, is governed with much wisdom: but he that is impatient, exalteth his folly.

For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

The lips of the just teach many: but they that are ignorant, shall die in the want of understanding.

Its harvest shall be destroyed with drought, women shall come and teach it: for it is not a wise people. Therefore he that made it shall not have mercy on it: and he that formed it shall not spare it.

If I have walked in vanity, and my foot hath made haste to deceit:

And one went out into the field to gather wild herbs: and he found something like a wild vine, and gathered of it wild gourds of the field, and filled his mantle. And coming back he shred them into the pot of pottage, for he knew not what it was.
