The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood: the mouth of the just shall deliver them.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of the testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of the temptation, which shall come upon the whole world to try them that dwell upon the earth.

For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:

He that boasteth, and puffeth up himself, stirreth up quarrels: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be healed.

He that soweth iniquity shall reap evils, and with the rod of his anger he shall be consumed.

The proud and the arrogant is called ignorant, who in anger worketh pride.

The lips of a fool intermeddle with strife: and his mouth provoketh quarrels.

The wicked are alienated from the womb; they have gone astray from the womb: they have spoken false things.

How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

Thou shalt he hidden from the scourge of the tongue: and thou shalt not fear calamity when it cometh.

Do not multiply to speak lofty things, boasting: let old matters depart from your mouth. For the Lord is a God of all knowledge, and to him are thoughts prepared.

Where there are no oxen, the crib is empty: but where there is much corn, there the strength of the ox is manifest.

He that keepeth his mouth, keepeth his soul: but he that hath no guard on his speech shall meet with evils.

The mouth of a fool is his destruction: and his lips are the ruin of his soul.
