Justice exalteth a nation: but sin maketh nations miserable.

Corrupt men bring a city to ruin: but wise men turn away wrath.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is placed among our members, which defileth the whole body, and inflameth the wheel of our nativity, being set on fire by hell.

Now there was found in it a man poor and wise, and he delivered the city by his wisdom, and no man afterward remembered that poor man.

The innocent shall be saved: and he shall be saved by the cleanness of his hands.

When it goeth well with the just the city shall rejoice: and when the wicked perish there shall be praise.

He that despiseth his friend, is mean of heart: but the wise man will hold his peace.

For the sine of the land many are the princes thereof: and for the wisdom of a man, and the knowledge of those things that are said, the life of the prince shall be prolonged.
