These were the offerings made by the princes of Israel in the dedication of the altar, in the day wherein it was consecrated. Twelve dishes of silver: twelve silver bowls: twelve little mortars of gold:

Ye blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

In that day the king sanctified the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord. For there he offered the holocaust and sacrifice and fat of the peace offerings: because the brazen altar that was before the Lord was too little to receive the holocaust and sacrifice and fat of the peace-offerings.

And for sacrifices of peace-offerings, oxen twenty-four, rams sixty, buck-goats sixty, lambs of a year old sixty. These things were offered in the dedication of the altar, when it was anointed.

Sanctify unto me every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, as well of men as of beasts: for they are all mine.

And he blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

And the princes offered for the dedication of the altar on the day when it was anointed their oblation before the altar.

And thou shalt offer a calf for sin every day for expiation: And thou shalt cleanse the altar when thou hast offered the victim of expiation, and shalt anoint it to sanctify it.

The laver with its foot: Thou shalt consecrate all with the oil of unction, that they may be most holy.

Speak to the children of Israel, and take of every one of them a rod by their kindreds, of all the princes of the tribes, twelve rods: and write the name of every man upon his rod.
