Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.

Thou shalt pray to him, and he will hear thee: and thou shalt pay vows.

And when day was come, some of the Jews gathered together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying, that they would neither eat, nor drink, till they killed Paul.

But I call God to witness upon my soul, that to spare you, I came not any more to Corinth: not because we exercise dominion over your faith: but we are helpers of your joy: for in faith you stand.

And I said, Now have I begun: this is the change of the right hand of the most High.

Who came to the chief priests and the ancients, and said: We have bound ourselves under a great curse that we will eat nothing till we have slain Paul.

And whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it, is a debtor.

Woe to you blind guides, that say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but he that shall swear by the gold of the temple, is a debtor.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the I heavens: and thy glory above all the earth.

And the two months being expired, she returned to her father, and he did to her as he had vowed, and she knew no man. From thence came a fashion in Israel, and a custom has been kept:

Jephte therefore went with the princes of Galaad; and all the people made him their prince. And Jephte spoke all his words before the Lord in Maspha.

The widow, and she that is divorced, shall fulfil whatsoever they vow.

But Israel, binding himself by vow to the Lord, said: It thou wilt deliver this people into my hand, I will utterly destroy their cities.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that shall take the name of the Lord his God in vain.

To the saints, who are in his land, he hath made wonderful all my desires in them.

Build therefore cities for your children, and folds and stalls for your sheep and beasts: and accomplish what you have promised.
