God is not a man, that he should lie: nor as the son of man, that he should be changed. Hath he said then, and will he not do? Hath he spoken, and will he not fulfil?

But the triumpher in Israel will ot spare, and will not be moved to repentance: for he is not a man that he should repent.

Every best gift, and every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of alteration.

For I am the Lord, and I change not: and you the sons of Jacob are not consumed.

That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have the strongest comfort, who have fled for refuge to hold fast the hope set before us.

If we believe not, he continueth faithful, he can not deny himself.

But this with an oath, by him that said unto him: The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever.)

Or do you think that the scripture saith in vain: To envy doth the spirit covet which dwelleth in you?

And I will be thy keeper whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee back into this land: neither will I leave thee, till I shall have accomplished all that I have said.

For as I have spoken, so will I do to all this wicked multitude, that hath risen up together against me: in this wilderness shall it faint away and die.

But he taking up his parable said: Stand, O Balac, and give ear: hear, thou son of Sephor.

He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord:

And the residue of the number of strong archers of the children of Cedar shall be diminished: for the Lord the God of Israel hath spoken it.

But he that is the wise one hath brought evil, and hath not removed his words: and he will rise up against the house of the wicked, and against the aid of them that work iniquity.

The grass is withered and the flower is fallen: but the word of our Lord endureth for ever.

The sons of Ephraim who bend and shoot with the bow: they have turned back in the day of battle.
