Behold I come against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn thy chariots even to smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey out of the land, and the voice of thy messengers shall be heard no more.

Behold I come against thee, saith the Lord of hosts: and I will discover thy shame to thy face, and will shew thy nakedness to the nations, and thy shame to kingdoms.

And he spoke against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, the works of the hands of men.

And Rabsaces said to them: Speak to Ezechias: Thus saith the great king, the king of the Assyrians: What is this confidence, wherein thou trustest?

Declare ye to Egypt and publish it in Magdal, and let it be known in Memphis and in Taphnis. Say ye: Stand up, and prepare thyself: for the sword shall devour all round about thee.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Because you have spoken vain things and have seen lies, therefore, behold, I come against you, saith the Lord God.

And say to the land of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I come against thee, and I will draw forth my sword out of its sheath and will cut off in thee the just and the wicked.

The lion caught enough for his whelps, and killed for his lionesses: and he filled his holes with prey, and his den with rapine.

There shall the fire devour thee: thou shalt perish by the sword, it shall devour thee like the bruchus: assemble together like the bruchus, make thyself many like the locust.
