Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon hath eaten me up: he hath devoured me: he hath made me as an empty vessel: he hath swallowed me up like a dragon: he hath filled his belly with my delicate meats and he hath cast me out.
Behold, the people shall rise up as a lioness: and shall lift itself up as a lion. It shall not lie down till it devour the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
And again Chusai said: Thou knowest thy father, and the men that are with him, that they are very valiant, and bitter in their mind, as a bear raging in the wood when her whelps are taken away. And thy father is a warrior, and will not lodge with the people.
Where is now the dwelling of the lions, and the feeding place of the young lions, to which the lion went, to enter in thither, the young lion, and there was none to make them afraid?
Behold I come against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn thy chariots even to smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey out of the land, and the voice of thy messengers shall be heard no more.
