He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the king of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

Nathanael answered him, and said: Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.

And they put over his head his cause written: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Seeing the man also who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

And if any man hear my words, and keep them not, I do not judge him: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried: Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, the king of Israel.

They therefore called the man again that had been blind, and said to him: Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.

Saying: Blessed be the king who cometh in the name of the Lord, peace in heaven, and glory on high!

Saying, Where is he that is born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to adore him.

And saying: Vah, thou that destroyest the temple of God, and in three days dost rebuild it: save thy own self: if thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

In like manner also the chief priests, with the scribes and ancients, mocking, said:

In like manner also the chief priests mocking, said with the scribes one to another: He saved others; himself he cannot save.

Let Christ the king of Israel come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

And the people stood beholding, and the rulers with them derided him, saying: He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the elect of God.

And saying: If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
