Then the lord of the vineyard said: What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be, when they see him, they will reverence him.

And behold a voice from heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

If so be they may present their supplication before the Lord, and may return every one from his wicked way: for great is the wrath and indignation which the Lord hath pronounced against this people.

If so be, when the house of Juda shall hear all the evils that I purpose to do unto them, that they may return every man from his wicked way: and I will forgive their iniquity and their sin.

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law:

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh; God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh and of sin, hath condemned sin in the flesh;

And I saw, and I gave testimony, that this is the Son of God.

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son; hear him.

And as he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him.

How shall I deal with thee, O Ephraim, shall I protect thee, O Israel? how shall I make thee as Adama, shall I set thee as Seboim? my heart is turned within me, my repentance is stirred up.

What shall I do to thee, O Ephraim? what shall I do to thee, O Juda? your mercy is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goeth away in the morning.

What is there that I ought to do more to my vineyard, that I have not done to it? Was it that I looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it hath brought forth wild grapes?

Thou, therefore, O son of man, prepare thee all necessaries for removing, and remove by day in their sight. And thou shalt remove out of thy place to another place in their sight, if so be they will regard it: for they are a provoking house.

Saying: There was a judge in a certain city, who feared not God, nor regarded man.

And he would not for a long time. But afterwards he said within himself: Although I fear not God, nor regard man,

And again he sent the third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.

Whom when the husbandmen saw, they thought within themselves, saying: This is the heir, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
