And they watched him whether he would heal on the sabbath days; that they might accuse him.

And being upon the watch, they sent spies, who should feign themselves just, that they might take hold of him in his words, that they might deliver him up to the authority and power of the governor.

And as he was speaking, a certain Pharisee prayed him, that he would dine with him. And he going in, sat down to eat.

For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise.

Why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou trouble me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance,

And the scribes and Pharisees watched if he would heal on the sabbath; that they might find an accusation against him.

Because like a soothsayer, and diviner, he thinketh that which he knoweth not. Eat and drink, will he say to thee: and his mind is not with thee.

AND there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

But one in the council rising up, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, respected by all the people, commanded the men to be put forth a little while.

How much better is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do a good deed on the sabbath days.

And behold, there was a certain man before him that had the dropsy.

And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come? he answered them, and said: The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
