And behold, thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be able to speak until the day wherein these things shall come to pass, because thou hast not believed my words, which shall be fulfilled in their time.

And the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me: Behold, I have given my words in thy mouth:

And the hand of the Lord had been upon me in the evening, before he that was fled came: and he opened my mouth till he came to me in the morning, and my mouth being opened, I was silent no more.

And after the devil was cast out, the dumb man spoke, and the multitudes wondered, saying, Never was the like seen in Israel.

The Lord said to him: Who made man's mouth? Or who made the dumb and the deaf, the seeing and the blind? Did not I?
