Be not witness without cause against thy neighbour: and deceive not any man with thy lips.

If any one shall sin through mistake, transgressing the ceremonies in those things that are sacrificed to the Lord, he shall offer for his offence a ram without blemish out of the flocks, that may be bought for two sicles, according to the weight of the sanctuary.

Thy eyes are too pure to behold evil, and thou canst not look on iniquity. Why lookest thou upon them that do unjust things, and holdest thy peace when the wicked devoureth the man that is more just than himself?

Saying: When will the month be over, and we shall sell our wares: and the sabbath, and we shall open the corn: that we may lessen the measure, and increase the sicle, and may convey in deceitful balances,

And a man shall mock his brother, and they will not speak the truth: for they have taught their tongue to speak lies, they have laboured to commit iniquity.

WOE to thee that spoilest! Shalt not thou thyself also be spoiled? And thou that despisest, shalt not thyself also be despised? When thou shalt have made an end of spoiling, thou shalt be spoiled: when being wearied thou shalt cease to despise, thou shalt be despised.

From the ends of the earth we have heard praises, the glory of the just one. And I said: My secret to myself, my secret to myself. Woe is me! The prevaricators have prevaricated: and with the prevarication of transgressors they have prevaricated.

A grievous vision is told me: He that is unfaithful dealeth unfaithfully; and he that is a spoiler, spoileth. Go up, O Elam, besiege, O Mede: I have made all the mourning thereof to cease.

So is the man that hurteth his friend deceitfully: and when he is taken, saith: I did it in jest.

All the day long thy tongue hath devised injustice: as a sharp razor, thou hast wrought deceit.

Because by mistake he trespassed against the Lord.

And when he was asked by the men of that place, concerning his wife, he answered: She is my sister. For he was afraid to confess that she was his wife, thinking lest perhaps they would like him because of her beauty.

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

If his offering be a holocaust, and of the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish, at the door of the testimony, to make the Lord favourable to him.

But the chamber that looketh towards the north shall be for the priests that watch over the ministry of the altar. These are the sons of Sadoc, who among the sons of Levi, come near to the Lord, to minister to him.
