So taking victuals and trumpets according to their number, he ordered all the rest of the multitude to depart to their tents: and he with the three hundred gave himself to the battle. Now the camp of Madian was beneath him in the valley.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise again incorruptible: and we shall be changed.

And on the seventh day the priests shall take the seven trumpets, which are used in the jubilee, and shall go before the ark of the covenant: and you shall go about the city seven times, and the priests shall sound the trumpets.

If you go forth to war out of your land against the enemies that fight against you, you shall sound aloud with the trumpets: and there shall be a remembrance of you before the Lord your God, that you may be delivered out of the hands of your enemies.

And thou shalt sound the trumpet in the seventh month, the tenth day of the month, in the time of the expiation in all your land.

Say to the children of Israel: The seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall keep a sabbath, a memorial, with the sound of trumpets, and it shall be called holy.

And the Lord said to Gedeon: By the three hundred men, that lapped water, I will save you, and deliver Madian into thy hand. But let all the rest of the people return to their place.

The same night the Lord said to him: Arise, and go down into the camp; because I have delivered them into thy hand.
