From the troubled river, that watereth Egypt, unto the borders of Accaron northward: the land of Chanaan, which is divided among the lords of the Philistines, the Gazites, the Azotians, the Ascalonites, the Gethites, and the Accronites.

And his confines. The country also of Libanus towards the east from Baalgad under mount Hermon to the entering into Emath.

And the lords of the Philistines marched with their hundreds and their thousands. But David and his men were in the rear with Achis.

Now his parents knew not that the thing was done by the Lord, and that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

The Sidonians also and Amalec and Chanaan oppress you, and you cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand?

And the Lord being angry with them, delivered them into the hands of the Philistines and of the children of Ammon.

And the Lord delivered them up into the hands of Jaban king of Chanaan, who reigned in Asor. And he had a general of his army named Sisara: and he dwelt in Haroseth of the Gentiles.

And to Abaran and Rohob and Hamon and Cana, as far as the great Sidon.

To the Chanaanites also on the ease and on the west, and the Amorrhite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Jebusite in the mountains: to the Hevite also who dwelt at the foot of Hermon in the land of Maspha.

(Which the Sidonians call Sarion, and the Amorrhites Sanir).

Turn you, and come to the mountain of the Amorrhites, and to the other places that are next to it: the plains and the hills and the vales towards the south, and by the sea shore: the land of the Chanaanites, and of Libanus, as far as the great river Euphrates.

From which they shall come to Emath, as far as the borders of Sedada.

But it hath very strong inhabitants: and the cities are great and walled. We saw there the race of Enac.

Zabulon shall dwell on the sea-shore, and in the road of ships, reaching as far as Sidon.

Perhaps you dwell in the land which falls to our lot: if so, we can make no league with you.

There was not a city that delivered itself to the children of Israel, except the Hevite, who dwelt in Gabaon: for he took all by fight.

That afterwards their children might learn to fight with their enemies, and to be trained up to war.

They answered: What is it we ought to render unto him for sin? And they answered:

And the five princes of the Philistines saw: and they returned to Accaron the same day.

They passed near the walls of Tyre, and all the land of the Hevite, and the Chanaanite: and they came to the south of Juda into Bersabee.

And Solomon made at the same time a solemn feast, and all Israel with him: a great multitude from the entrance of Emath to the river of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days and seven days, that is, fourteen days.

And the side toward the sea, is the great sea from the borders straight on, till thou come to Emath: this is the side of the sea.

All the people that were left of the Amorrhites, and Hethites, and Pherezites, and Hevites, and Jebusites, that are not of the children of Israel:
