You shall answer them: The waters of the Jordan ran off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, when it passed over the same. Therefore were these stones set for a monument of the children of Israel for ever.

And this day shall be for a memorial to you: and you shall keep it a feast to the Lord in your generations with an everlasting observance.

To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just.

That the children of Israel might have for the time to come wherewith they should be admonished, that no stranger or any one that is not of seed of Aaron should come near to offer incense to the Lord: lest he should suffer as Core suffered, and all his congregation: according as the Lord spoke to Moses.

And thou shalt put them in both sides of the ephod: a memorial for the children of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord upon both shoulders, for a remembrance.

And giving thanks, broke, and said: Take ye, and eat: this is my body, which shall be delivered for you: this do for the commemoration of me.

He that sacrificeth an ox is as if he slew a man: he that killeth a sheep in sacrifice, as if he should brain a dog: he that offereth an oblation, as if he should offer swine's blood; he that remembereth incense, as if he should bless an idol. All these things have they chosen in their ways: and their soul is delighted in their abominations.

That it may be a sign among you: and when your children shall ask you to-morrow, saying: What mean these stones?

And the money received, which was contributed by the children of Israel, thou shalt deliver unto the uses of the tabernacle of the testimony: that it may be a memorial of them before the Lord, and he may be merciful to their souls.

Whomsoever of these I shall choose, his rod shall blossom. And I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, wherewith they murmur against you.

Thou shalt not eat with it leavened bread: seven days shalt thou eat without leaven the bread of affliction, because thou camest out of Egypt in fear. That thou mayst remember the day of thy coming out of Egypt, all the days of thy life.
