This is the possession of the sons of Issachar by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.

And their border was Halcath and Chali and Beten and Axaph,

And by the border of Dan, from the east side even to the side of the sea, one portion for Aser:

The sons of Zelpha, Lia's handmaid: Gad and Aser. These are the sons of Jacob, that were born to him in Mesopotamia of Syria.

Aser also destroyed not the inhabitants of Accho, and of Sidon, of Ahalab, and of Achazib, and of Helba, and of Aphec, and of Rohob.

Galaad rested beyond the Jordan, and Dan applied himself to ships. Aser dwelt on the sea-shore, and abode in the havens.
