Jesus answered: I have not a devil: but I honour my Father, and you have dishonoured me.
Who, when he was reviled, did not revile: when he suffered, he threatened not: but delivered himself to him that judged him unjustly.
I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
Because I go to the Father: and whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, that will I do: that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
And Jesus hearing it, said to them: This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God: that the Son of God may be glorified by it.
And he that sent me, is with me, and he hath not left me alone: for I do always the things that please him.
And he said to me: Thou art my servant Israel, for in thee will I glory.
And the Lord was willing to sanctify him, and to magnify the law and exalt it.
Father, glorify thy name. A voice therefore came from heaven: I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
Why seek you to kill me? The multitude answered, and said: Thou hast a devil; who seeketh to kill thee?
And they indeed went from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were accounted worthy to suffer reproach for the name of Jesus.
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that a man indeed, if he nourish his hair, it is a shame unto him?
It is sown in dishonour, it shall rise in glory. It is sown in weakness, it shall rise in power.
