That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved, said to Peter: It is the Lord. Simon Peter, when he heard that it was the Lord, girt his coat about him, (for he was naked,) and cast himself into the sea.

Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

She ran, therefore, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith to them: They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

When Jesus therefore had seen his mother and the disciple standing whom he loved, he saith to his mother: Woman, behold thy son.

For the charity of Christ presseth us: judging this, that if one died for all, then all were dead.

This is that disciple who giveth testimony of these things, and hath written these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

Peter turning about, saw that disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said: Lord, who is he that shall betray thee?

God sent the word to the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all.)

Therefore let all the house of Israel know most certainly, that God hath made both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus, whom you have crucified.

Wherefore I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less.

For, this day, is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David.

And if any man shall say to you, What are you doing? say ye that the Lord hath need of him: and immediately he will let him come hither.

Many waters cannot quench charity, neither can the floods drown it: if a man should give all the substance of his house for love, he shall despise it as nothing.

For princes sat, and spoke against me: but thy servant was employed in thy justifications.

My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory with respect of persons.

The first man was of the earth, earthly: the second man, from heaven, heavenly.

Thomas answered, and said to him: My Lord, and my God.

And when he had said this, he shewed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.

Let your loins be girt, and lamps burning in your hands.

But the other disciples came in the ship, (for they were not far from the land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
