And he that saw it, hath given testimony, and his testimony is true. And he knoweth that he saith true; that you also may believe.
This is that disciple who giveth testimony of these things, and hath written these things; and we know that his testimony is true.
And you shall give testimony, because you are with me from the beginning.
The ancients therefore that are among you, I beseech, who am myself also an ancient, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ: as also a partaker of that glory which is to be revealed in time to come:
For what things soever were written, were written for our learning: that through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope.
And we are witnesses of all things that he did in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed, hanging him upon a tree.
But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name.
These things I write to you, that you may know that you have eternal life, you who believe in the name of the Son of God.
When Jesus therefore had seen his mother and the disciple standing whom he loved, he saith to his mother: Woman, behold thy son.
And now I have told you before it comes to pass: that when it shall come to pass, you may believe.
And I knew that thou hearest me always; but because of the people who stand about have I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
And I am glad, for your sakes, that I was not there, that you may believe: but let us go to him.
To Demetrius testimony is given by all, and by the truth itself, yea and we also give testimony: and thou knowest that our testimony is true.
