Then they led Jesus from Caiphas to the governor's hall. And it was morning; and they went not into the hall, that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the pasch.

And he entered into the hall again, and he said to Jesus: Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.

Pilate therefore went into the hall again, and called Jesus, and said to him: Art thou the king of the Jews?

And it was the parasceve of the pasch, about the sixth hour, and he saith to the Jews: Behold your king.

Then the soldiers of the governor taking Jesus into the hall, gathered together unto him the whole band;

The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied before the face of Pilate, when he judged he should be released.

And the pasch of the Jews was at hand; and many from the country went up to Jerusalem, before the pasch to purify themselves.

Saying: Why didst thou go in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them?

And he said to them: You know how abominable it is for a man that is a Jew, to keep company or to come unto one of another nation: but God hath shewed to me, to call no man common or unclean.

But you have a custom that I should release one unto you at the pasch: will you, therefore, that I release unto you the king of the Jews?

Woe to you that devise that which is unprofitable, and work evil in your beds: in the morning light they execute it, because their hand is against God.

And thou shalt sacrifice the phase to the Lord thy God, of sheep, and of oxen, in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, that his name may dwell there.

And as soon as it was day, the ancients of the people, and the chief priests and scribes, cane together; and they brought him into their council, saying: If thou be the Christ, tell us.

And the soldiers led him away into the court of the palace, and they called together the whole band:

In the first month, the fourteenth day of the month, you shall observe the solemnity of the pasch: seven days unleavened bread shall be eaten.

For they sleep not except they have done evil: and their sleep is taken away unless they have made some to fall.

For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

And they led him away to Annas first, for he was father in law to Caiphas, who was the high priest of that year.

And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. And that disciple was known to the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the court of the high priest.

Jesus answered: Thou shouldst not have any power against me, unless it were given thee from above. Therefore, he that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.

For of a truth there assembled together in this city against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,

Send therefore to Joppe, and call hither Simon, who is surnamed Peter: he lodgeth in the house of Simon a tanner, by the sea side.
