A canticle of a psalm for Asaph.
He shall speak in thy stead to the people, and shall be thy mouth: but thou shalt be to him in those things that pertain to God.
Unto the end, a psalm of David. Lord, thou hast proved me, and known me:
Thou shalt not speak ill of the gods: and the prince of thy people thou shalt not curse.
And in your law it is written, that the testimony of two men is true.
But that the word may be fulfilled which is written in their law: They hated me without cause.
The multitude answered him: We have heard out of the law, that Christ abideth for ever; and how sayest thou: The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?
In the law it is written: In other tongues and other lips I will speak to this people; and neither so will they hear me, saith the Lord.
