But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour: that, through the grace of God, he might taste death for all.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works.

Therefore doth the Father love me: because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

But that the world may know, that I love the Father: and as the Father hath given me commandment, so do I: Arise, let us go hence.

Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I also have kept my Father's commandments, and do abide in his love.

This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses.

Jesus answered: Thou shouldst not have any power against me, unless it were given thee from above. Therefore, he that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.

As the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.

For as the Father hath life in himself, so he hath given the Son also to have life in himself:
