Thy pride is brought down to hell: thy carcass is fallen down. Under thee shall the moth be strewed, and worms shall be thy covering.

If I have said to rottenness: Thou art my father: to worms, My mother and my sister.

And forthwith an angel of the Lord struck him, because he had not given the honour to God: and being eaten up by worms, he gave up the ghost.

And there you shall remember your ways and all your wicked doings with which you have been defiled: and you shall be displeased with yourselves in your own sight for all your wicked deeds which you committed.

And they shall go out, and see the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me. Their worm shall not die and their fire shall not be quenched: and they shall be a loathsome sight to all flesh.

From the sole of the foot unto the top of the head, there is no soundness therein: wounds and bruises and swelling sores: they are not bound up, nor dressed, nor fomented with oil.

Let mercy forget him: may worms be his sweetness. Let him be remembered no more, but be broken in pieces as an unfruitful tree.

And I shall be clothed again with my skin: and in my flesh I will see my God.

Yet thou shalt plunge me in filth; and my garments shall abhor me.

Who am to be consumed as rottenness, and as a garment that is moth-eaten.

My eye is dim through indignation: and my limbs are brought as it were to nothing.

The flesh being consumed, my bone hath cleaved to my skin, and nothing but lips are left about my teeth.
