And he put a new canticle into my mouth, a song to our God. Many shall see, and shall fear: and they shall hope in the Lord.

Man is born to labour, and the bird to fly.

Speak ye to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her: for her evil is come to an end, her iniquity is forgiven. She hath received of the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.

For thus saith the Lord to me: Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, all the glory of Cedar shall be taken away.

Counting only the years from the time of his selling unto the year of the jubilee: and counting the money that he was sold for, according to the number of the years and the reckoning of a hired servant.

As a servant longeth for the shade, as the hireling looketh for the end of his work;

Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and multipliest thy wrath upon me; and pains war against me.

Man, born of a woman, living for a short time, is filled with many miseries.

And now the Lord hath spoken, saying: In three years, as the years of a hireling, the glory of Moab shall be taken away for all the multitude of the people; and it shall be left small and feeble, not many.
