The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly from temptation, but to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be tormented.

He will not take away his eyes from the just; and he placeth kings on the throne for ever: and they are exalted.

And when the barbarians saw the beast hanging on his hand, they said one to another: Undoubtedly this man is a murderer, who though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance doth not suffer him to live.

God will not cast away the simple, nor reach out his hand to the evil-doer:

In the good day enjoy good things, and beware beforehand of the evil day: for God hath made both the one and the other, that man may not find against him any just complaint.

But he saveth not the wicked: and he giveth judgment to the poor.
