Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and weighed the heavens with his palm? Who hath poised with three fingers the bulk of the earth and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

The measure of him is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

Yea, unto those places that are beyond you, to preach the gospel, not to glory in another man's rule, in those things that are made ready to our hand.

It is he that sitteth upon the globe of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as locusts: he that stretcheth out the heavens as nothing and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.

The bittern and ericius shall possess it, and the ibis and the raven shall dwell in it: and a line shall be stretched out upon it to bring it to nothing, and a plummet, unto desolation.

When he prepared the heavens, I was present: when with a certain law and compass he enclosed the depths:

May he be mindful of all thy sacrifices: and may thy whole burnt offering be made fat.

Who made a weight for the winds, and weighed the waters by measure.

When he compassed the sea with its bounds, and set a law to the waters that they should not pass their limits: when he balanced the foundations of the earth;

What other hath he appointed over the earth? Or whom hath he set over the world which he made?

He raiseth up the needy from the dust, and lifteth up the poor from the dunghill: that he may sit with princes, and hold the throne of glory. For the poles of the earth are the Lord's, and upon them he hath set the world.
