And he called the light Day, and the darkness Night. And there was evening and morning one day.

And we have the more firm prophetical word: whereunto you do well to attend, as to a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Through the bowels of the mercy of our God, in which the Orient from on high hath visited us:

Didst thou know then that thou shouldst be born? And didst thou know the number of thy days?

Where wast thou when I laid up the foundations of the earth? Tell me if thou hast understanding.

Art thou the first man that was born, or wast thou made before the hills?

And I said: Hitherto thou shalt come, and shalt go no further. And here thou shalt break thy swelling waves.

And didst thou hold the extremities of the earth shaking them? And hast thou shaken the ungodly out of it?

Seek him that maketh Arcturus, and Orion, and that turneth darkness into morning, and that changeth day into night: that calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.

He diggeth through houses in the dark, as in the day they had appointed for themselves: and they have not known the light.
